Air Handling Unit (AHU) Leakage Testing

Manufacturers design units to limit leakage. Similar to Duct Leakage Testing, engineers specify an allowable leakage rate or CFM. The units are capped and we pressurize the units with the same high static fan. Often, AHU leakage testing is tested at higher static levels like 8”. Also, negative pressure testing to similar static levels like -8” is performed.
